Independent Living | Assisted Living | Skilled Nursing | Hospice
Independent Living
Potentially provides in-home medical services and promotes independent living. Also helps with recovery from a potential illness or injury as well as offer training and licensed nurses, home health aids and therapists. Often assists with daily life activities and offers companionship.
Assisted Living
Bridges the gap between independent living and nursing homes, assisting with the activities of daily living. Normally providing minimal medical services and 24-hour supervision, the average cost of assisted living is approximately $100 per day.
Skilled Nursing
Offers trained and registered health professionals providing skilled medical care and assistance with daily living activities. Nutritional meals, recreation and social activities are also included. The average cost is approximately $250 per day for a private room and $200 per day for a shared room.
Hospice
Focuses on individuals with life expectancies of six months or less. High level of attention is paid to pain relief. Counseling is offered to family members addressing their emotional needs.
